What Would be Unexpected in a Sharon Creech Book?

The only thing that would be surprising about a Sharon Creech book at this point would be if that book was terrible.  The Great Unexpected is just like all of the Sharon Creech books I have read:  original, magical, beautiful and refreshing.  What a lovely, entertaining and thought-provoking book.  Quite the expected from this masterful storyteller.  Wow.
