Not that ever considered it be an option (my mom would have killed me) but after reading An Off Year I feel a lot better about my decision to go right from high school to college. Back in my day, in the Middle Ages, most people who were going to college didn't take a year off, anyway. I guess that is more common today. The main character is totally unlikeable but it is still a pretty interesting story. I don't know why I wasn't too happy, snappy about reading it. It was just kind of there...but still...still it was original and for a good read for someone who is getting ready to make college and future decisions.
