What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

I really loved Matched.  I read it very quickly and enjoyed it all.  I bought Crossed on my Kindle when it first came out and really didn't like it much.  But part of me thought that it was just one of those stories that really just should have been two books and Crossed was just filler and Reached was going to be an awesome conclusion.  Sadly, I was wrong.  The thing is, I agree with one of the folks who reviewed it on goodreads.com when she said that she just didn't like characters.  She said she didn't like any of them, but I did like Xander.  I didn't like Ky or Cassia at all.  And I really didn't like the ending of Reached.   I mean I didn't hate it.  I did finish it.  I even bought it, because I was so hoping to like it, like I like Matched.  But, na.
