When I read the reviews for Into White I was worried about reading the book. There were some people who really slammed this book and said it was racist and it the characters were all race-focused and on and on and on. But the thing was, the folks who said that were all white. And frankly, it is pretty easy for someone who is white to say that "race should be a big deal." White people are always ready to say that racism is the past, that Affirmative Action isn't necessary. White people are just that-- what's the world? Ignorant? Clueless? Racist.
That's probably the best word, even if it is painful.
An excellent book. Convicting. Excellent.
