What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Madeleine L'Engle
Becoming Madeleine: a Biography of the Author of a Wrinkle in Time by Her Granddaughters has been criticized by some for being too easy on Ms. LEngle. And okay, I get that. I mean, aren't I the one who criticized Who Was/Is bios of the Little House lady and Alfred Hitchcock for the same reason? But I have admitted how much I love L'Engle and I do feel that the authors, Ms. L'Engle's granddaughters explained why they ended the bio with the publication of AWIT and left some things out, so how can you be too upset? I can't help it, I love L'Engle and I really enjoyed this book.
