There is a lot of superstition/tradition around midnight. I mean, around the concept or the time of midnight. That's not to say that there isn't a lot of superstition/tradition about everything around the time of midnight. It's just not what I am talking about here.
I am talking about little things you hear about 12:00am. Especially midnight on January 1. In Spain, for example, there is the tradition of eating 12 grapes at the strike of 12 so that you will have good luck for the next 12 months. And if you kiss someone a midnight on January 1 you will be with them all year and your love with grow and all of that jazz.
Together at Midnight takes place in the time between Christmas and New Year's and midnight on NYE figures in prominently.
I only gave this one 3 stars not because there was anything wrong with it, but just because it didn't ever grab me or stick with me. But it was okay!
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
