What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

I Never Liked Math
Until I attempted Math for Toddlers and Preschoolers at work. Then everything changed. I started reading about early math and the ways in which our first math experiences color the attitudes we have about math as we grow, and the success we have with it. Good early math experiences mean good math experiences later. I wonder if that is true for science. Because I DO NOT like science, but I wonder...if I had had good early science experiences would that be different. Would I have like The Third Mushroom more? Probably. As Jennifer L. Holm is an author I very, very much enjoy. This is the sequel to The Fourteenth Goldfish. Which I really enjoyed. I just couldn't get into this one as much as the first but I still recommend it, because I know it was just me and science!
