What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

If it's on facebook, it must be true!

And so yesterday when I posted Ing Loves

Jekel Loves Hyde and You Will, too. It was true. It is still true!

J Loves H is a romance/supernatural/horror novel with two very intriguing and sympathetic but complicated main characters. It is set in a fictional town in Pennsylvania, not too far from Philly. Jill Jekel is mourning the loss of her father who was brutally murdered. Tristan Hyde is new in town, the son of a famous psychiatrist. He is tall and mysterious and somehow descended from the fictional character of Mr. Hyde. And yes, Jill Jekel is somehow descended from Dr. Jekyll. Even if you haven't read the original Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, you will still understand and love this book. I would also recommend reading this graphic novel version of the story because it is really good! I think I read it at the end of last year so I couldn't count it in my book read this year deal.

Fantaskey is an amazing new author and I'm not just saying that because she agreed to pose for a picture with Lobster!
