What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Escape from Alcatraz

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE PRIVATE SERIES!
I remember when I was a little girl, I saw the movie Escape from Alcatraz on HBO.  That image down there it really scared the heck out of me!  Escaping from Alcatraz was probably much harder than escaping from the fictional Brenda T. Trumbell Correctional Facility for Women from which one Ariana Osgood makes her very clever escape in Privilege.  Ariana, once a feared and reviered Billings Girl was of course, sent to prison for the murder of Thomas Pearson and the attempted murder of Reed.  Ariana doesn't give up though and I was rather impressed by the careful planning that led her to escape from Brenda T. and start a new life, first in Dallas, TX and then....well, the world.  I really liked this first book and will definately be reading more in the series.
