I fell in love with Lucas Davenport. It wasn't hard to do. He's a pretty amazing man. Brilliant. Good-looking, a smart-butt sense of humor, likes fast cars, loves justice, is faithful to his wife, loves his kids, is dedicated to his job.
Who wouldn't fall in love with Lucas?
Every time I put in a Prey on CD, I am sucked in, instantly.
Buried Prey begins with a demolition crew discovering the bodies of two little girls who have been missing since 1985. Lucas worked the case, back in the day, when he was a young cop. He never felt good about the conclusion they came to back then, and now he has a chance to find the girls' real killer.
Excellent. Awesome. Pure Sandford.
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
