What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Chucks
I am definitely not a fashion diva. I used to be so into clothes, when I was thin and if I ever get thin again, I probably will become completely obsessed with them again, but for now I only wear black. A few months ago I go my first pair of Chucks. All black, of course. Here's My Style board on pinterest and you can see them there! The main character in Lexapros and Cons is named Chuck Taylor and he has black Chucks, too. He calls them Cons. He wears them when he is depressed. He wears red ones when he is angry, orange when he is tired. He's worked out a whole system. He has a lot of systems. Chuck has OCD. LAC isn't a depressing book, however, it is quite hilarious. The first book by comic Aaron Karo and I hope it won't be the last. This a real story with a great main character you can really come to love. It tells the tale of Chuck trying to confront his OCD during the last half of his senior year in high school. Great book, read it in a few hours. Totally recommend it. Loved it.
