Bleed was an interesting book. Set in Salem, MA and told from the POV of a bunch of different characters, it could have been longer, or maybe told from the POV of less characters, giving the POVs that remain, more detail.
All of the characters are related, some are dating each other, some are best friends, some can't stand each other. The common element in each of the stories is blood.
Its not really a book I can explain well, since I'm not good doing that with simple plots, and this one runs all over the place, but it is worth a read. And I wonder if the author, Laurie Faria Stolarz will write more stories with some of these characters. I hope so. I'd like to hear more about Kelly and Robby and Mearl as well. Maria, too. And so yeah, I think this book is definitely worth the read.
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
