When I was a kid, I remember reading
Erma Bombeck's columns in the
Pittsburgh Press. I loved them, as did my grandma. It was something we enjoyed together. I read all the books she had written when I was a kid and a tween. I decided to listen to one,
Just Wait Till You Have Children of Your Own, now to see if it held up. First of all, of course it is dated, but the dated-ness of it makes for a great look into the history of American life, so that wasn't a problem at all, in fact, it is quite informative. Secondly, it is amazing (and sad) to discover that so many comics of today have ripped off her stuff and use it as their own! Thirdly, it is clean, truly good stuff and I enjoyed the book thoroughly.
