What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Good Stuff, as Always

Closed for the Season is a book I have always recommended.  I know I read it when it first came out and I needed to read it again because it must have been a really busy time in my life and I had forgotten about the details.  I don't think that I've ever read a book by Mary Downing Hahn that disappointed.  She is just a really great writer.
There isn't a ghost in this book, but it is plenty scary and has real-world scares in it too, like domestic abuse.
This is a great mystery story centered in an abandoned amusement park and a small town with secrets!  Logan and Arthur are determined to find the killer of the woman who used to live in Logan's house.
