Ah the tortured artist. I can't understand them, but I can appreciate them. It is hard to appreciate Aurora's dad though. She is an artist, like he is. But he is also a bad husband and a pretty not-so-great dad. But who is perfect.
Drawing Lessons is a simple and beautiful book will be loved by folks who are artists and even people like me, who couldn't be any less artsy. A great introspective book about trust and loss and creativity and a quick one-sitting read. Not because it was simplistic, but because it really captures you and doesn't let go.
