Weird to say that about a book filled with murder and deception like Stalked but the truth is, I am still rejoicing that I found Brian Freeman. Stalked was a fantastic mystery, full of twists and cop and detective drama AND set in the Duluth and St. Paul and all around there. Wonderful! Learning more about Stride and his girl friend and his partner and their relationships makes what happens in The Burying Place even worse.
But I'm just so thrilled to have found a new favorite detective to join the place in my heart next to Spenser, Peter and Rina Decker, Scudder, Stones (Jesse and Barrington), Davenport and Sunny! Plus the whole Minnesota setting is great, great fun! I can't wait to go back into the Freeman catalog for more!
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
