What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Something that annoys me...

I know it will be really hard to believe that anything can annoy me. 
But here is one thing.
I can't stand it when right-wingers talk about the Book of Revelations. 
Yeah. 
I really do.
It's mostly right-wingers who talk about this mysterious Book of Revelations. 
They often say that they are studying it at church and their pastor is taking them through it and that they are learning that the end of world is really close.
Yeah.  The Book of Revelations.
I just had a guy talk to me the other day about the study he was going to at his church on the Book of Revelations. 
Man. 
Just where IS the Book of Revelations?
My own particular Bibles don't have a Book of Revelations.
Book of Revelation?
Oh yeah, they all have a Book of Revelation. 
But this mysterious Book of Revelations that somehow says we're all going to Hell because we elected a Muslim President?  I can't seem to find it in my Bibles. 
Anyway....
Revelation really cleared up a lot of mystery.  I was suspicious of the culprit in this one....but it still surprised  the heck out of me.
