What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Not Cheesy at All
The obvious joke is to say that the scares at Cheeseman Fright Farm are cheesy. But Cheeseman's haunters don't kid around. They are serious and every year they get better and better. This year they completely blew me away. I have been going to Cheeseman's for about five years now I think and this was the best year ever. The psychological terror created by the actors on the tractor ride was better than any other tractor or hayride terror I have seen. It was so subtle and well done, as I remark in the video, it was comparable to the terror in The Strangers. If you went to Cheeseman's last year and didn't find it as frightening as in years past, don't let that stop you from going this year. The maze and "house" in the middle of farm have plenty of new tricks. As always the staff are kind, friendly and considerate. What a great experience!
