Did you have a tamagotchi? I did. I had a few. I loved them! Apparently they are still around! Turkle talks about tamagotchis in her book, but I haven't gotten that far. I just looked them up in the index. One thing she doesn't talk about in her book is Robert D. Romanyshyn's book Technology as Symptom and Dream. She talks about technology being a symptom and a dream, but she doesn't reference the book, which as I recall was a pretty good book. I read it when it first came out. Maybe I should read it again. I remember liking it. Even though it was required reading!

Tamagotchi Love
