What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Second Chance
Man. I really loved this book. The first chapter was a little confusing. But just go through it. The book is awesome and you'll figure out the first chapter if you keep on rolling. It's a mix of realistic fiction and fantasy, as one of the main characters is a fox. But mostly it is a very real and true story of a young girl, Abigail Walker and her second life, hence the title, The Second Life of Abigail Walker. She starts out as one of those picked on girls, the kind of girl who tries hard to fit in with the cool gang, even though you can tell right away that they are pretty nasty girls. Well, the leader of the gang, anyway. But the cool thing about this book is that Abigail just turns away from them. She gets a little love bite from the fox and man, she just gets the courage to say "Whatever!" to the nasty, cool gang of girls. She struggles with her weight, but she doesn't let it get her down. And there's no big weight loss at the end, though she does probably lose weight, no big deal is made of it.
