What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Once Again...
After I finish a MDH book, I think, "man, these are creepy!" and I think that kids should know that if they scare easy, they might want to take it slow. The deal is, with a book like Deep and Dark and Dangerous, the scares aren't cheap and cheesy. The danger is real, the crimes are real. Na, ghosts aren't real, but this issues dealt with in D and D and D are disturbing! A little girl died many years ago, drowning in the lake. Ali's mom and aunt know more about her death than they are letting on. The adults aren't always good guys in MDH books, they are realistic. Creepy ghost story. I loved it.
