What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Because Your Mine...
I read The Line. Okay. That makes no sense at all. But all while I was reading The Line, the fantastic song by the guy who totally copied my fashion sense. The Line is other dystopian teen fiction book like Birthmarked, the Last Survivors series and Hunger Games. Compared to those, it really falls short. Some of the complaints I read on goodreads said that it was too short- an intentional series set up. That is true, for sure. But then I started thinking about those Stephen King thingies. The Green Mile. A serial novel. Maybe that's what The Line is. It probably isn't. But I think the author and publisher should start telling people it is. It works as a serial novel I think. Personally I had trouble reading it - and this is no fault of the book. See I have a friend named Rachel and her daughter's name is Vivian. But in the book, the mom's name is Vivian and the daughter is Rachel! The book rarely says 'her mom' or 'her daughter'-it mostly uses the proper names, which is awkward for anyone to read I bet, but especially for me. Well it isn't confusing for anyone but me probably. But even if you aren't me I would still think it sounds unrealistic or weird or some thing. That said, I will read the next book. This one left too many question and was interesting enough to make me want more.
