but I am so glad I did. The back of Keesha's House describes it like this "Seven teens facing such problems as pregnancy, closeted homosexuality, and abuse each describe in poetic forms what caused them to leave home and where they found home again." BORING. "poetic forms" Really? Really? And that is supposed to make someone, especially a teen, pick up this book? Really?I have picked that book up so many times and put it right back down after seeing the word "poetic" but this time I just needed a book on cd very badly! So I gave in. Okay so maybe it is "poetic" but it so good and so interesting and the characters are so original and likable. I am so glad I didn't miss this. We really need to do something about bad covers and bad book descriptions. Ugh!
