What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Monday Morning

Used to be a Presbyterian magazine. It is gone now. Budget cuts. Too bad. I really liked picking up a copy in seminary and when I would visit local PCUSA Churches.
Today is Monday and I took home three fabulous (I hope) books to read. One I have been waiting for for a million years. Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side is one of my most favorite books and I recommend it to everyone. I was so fortunate to meet the author of this great book at the PaLA Annual Conference in 2010. She also wrote Jekel Loves Hyde and that was equally fabulous! Her new book Jessica Rules the Dark Side is one of the books I checked out today and I can't wait to get into it! But first I must read about The Wedding, which is only available on Fantaskey's website. I'm reading it now. Very excellent!
