that you were related to Gary Paulsen?
I wonder if he sits around and tells stories to his friends and family.
I think he is one of those people I could listen to forever.
It is great when an audiobook has a little message from him at the end. This one promised to, but it was not there!
But he did introduce the book.
The Winter Room is just plain, good fiction. With meaning, but no preaching. I think Paulsen is magic.
This one is more along the lines of the Alida series. There isn't a lot that HAPPENS. But it is intended to be that way, it's not like it is an action book that failed.
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
