What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Back in the Saddle
It was so great to see that Virgil and Everett are still alive and well, even though Robert B. Parker is gone. Ironhorse was written by the guy who wrote the screen play for Appaloosa, Robert Knott. You can tell that it isn't written totally by Parker, it is kinda wordy, but I really enjoyed it. Especially the dialog between friends, now Marshall Virgil Cole and Deputy Marshall Everett Hitch. When they talk about Allie, it is hilarious! My friend Karen and I, are of course, Virgil and Everett and she is reading it now, too. About half of the book takes place on a train. The train is robbed by some old enemies of our duo and the Governor of Texas finds his family is jeopardy. But don't worry, Virgil and Everett are on it!
