I am not too familiar with 50 Cent's music. I am pretty much dedicated to Tupac and Biggie and so I really have put them so high up on a musical pedastal that it is hard to have room for anyone else! I was very anxious to read Playground though, as it just looked so good and it was. I blew through the story of jr. high kid, Burton (Butterball) in no time. I don't think that there will be a sequel, but this was one of those books that when it is over, you are really wishing that you could find out what happens next.
Butterball is a bully, and this story is told from his POV. When he is made to go to a therapist to keep from getting an official police record, he starts to figure things out.
The book has a surprising turn that really added a lot of depth to it, but even if it didn't have the turn, I would have really liked it and recommended it.
