What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Man...so sad to see this end

I think that As Dead as It Gets is the last in the Bad Girls Don't Die series, but man, I wish it wasn't.  These three books have been incredible.  They are long but they go WAY too fast.  So well written and so quick and smart and SCARY, big-time creepy.  Ghosts and demons and poltergeists.  Man.  Everything you can think of come after Alexis.  She just can't get a break.  Plus a controlling boyfriend!  Just awesome.

Man....this series is just so good. The new one comes out next Tuesday and I can't wait. From Bad to Cursed was creepy-awesome. Original, scary, funny, smart. It was more than 400 pages but I didn't complain once. Just fantastic. Lexi and her sister are battling the dark side once more. A sinister spirit named Aralt has recruited girls on Surrey High and the Sunshine Club is full of girls who can have everything they want, lead the truly "charmed life" but at a high price.
Excellent!

Oh My Goodness!

Lately I haven't been wowed over the books I've read but my latest ebook checkout from the library changed that. Bad Girls Don't Die was just what I needed. So good! Such a fun read! It was like a haunted attraction at Halloween!
Lexi and her sister Kasey live with parents who don't pay too much attention to them in a big old house with a nasty, nasty past. I am so into the haunted doll thing, as I've mentioned and so the creepy dolls in BGDD drew me in right away.
A vengeful ghost has taken over Lexi's sister and is using her to get back at a lot of folks in town.
And...it is a series! Delightful! Can't wait to get my hands on the next one!
