Dying to Read Them!

Oh how I wait and wait and wait for the next 43 Old Cemetery Road book!  The Loch Ness Punster, the seventh one, was available on edelweiss and I hoped and hoped and hoped that I would be allowed to download the eARC.  I was!  I did!  I LOVED it!
The format is a winner for even the most reluctant of readers. The characters have grown with each book and I fallen more in love them more as they have.
In in addition, which is indeed, full of great puns, Olive and Seymour head to Scotland, where they stay in a castle, newly inherited by Seymour.   Everything is just so clever.  Even the castle's address!
The antagonist in this one is a Macon Deals, who wants to build a big casino in on the shores of Loch Ness.  His texts back and forth between his employees are hilarious.
Those Klise sisters!  So talented!
Oh, oh, oh!  The ending!  Loved it!

Greetings! It's the SIXTH book and still just as awesome!

Olive, Seymour, Iggy, they are all back.  And there aren't enough good words in the world to describe how wonderful 43 Old Cemetery Road is.  These books are always, always a hit.  The three friends are now writing greeting cards for sticky situations, which is hilarious.  And there is a husband-wife team of robbers on the lose.  Fanastic.  Hilarious.  Wonderful.  Read them in order though, for maximum awesomeness!  Greetings from the Graveyard is another winner!

Another One!

Oh man!  How I jump for joy when I see a new 43 Old Cemetery Road book!  And I sure did when I saw Hollywood, Dead Ahead!  What a great addition to this seriously funny series that makes my heart so happy!  A big Hollywood producer wants to make a movie out of I.B., Seymour and Olive's series!  It is so so so great! 

Flipped!

That's what I did when I saw the released-this-week Phantom of the Post Office, 43 Old Cemetery Road #4 on the shelf!  I wanted to DEAR!  
In this episode the US Postmaster General is coming to Ghastly to shut down the post office and introduce VEXT Messaging.  With VEXT you get a veil that allows you to see the person with whom you are communicating, and watch movies, and style your hair, and do all sorts of things!  With VEXT also comes the end of not just letters, but the written word.  
Totally hilarious!  Can't wait for the next one!
This is such a smart and funny series by the talented Klise sisters!

Third One, with More to Come!

Just finished Till Death Do Us Bark, the third and latest in the 43 Old Cemetery Road series. A dog enters the picture now and sparks controversy as Olive is like I am, a cat person for sure, but Seymour and Iggy wouldn't mind having a dog. This dog, however, belongs to a ghost who has hidden his fortune from his greedy children. Good mystery and a lot of neat history and as in all of the books in the series, the librarian is cool!

Oh man! How did I miss this!

I was so happy to rediscover 43 Old Cemetery Lane when I saw the third in the series, new at the library. I had totally forgotten about it, but I don't know how, I loved the first one! So last night I read the second one, Over My Dead Body and it was great!

Seymour Hope lives with ghost story writer I.B. Grumply and the ghost of Olive C. Spence at 43 Old Cemetery Lane. His parents, Les and Diane Hope abandoned him there to write a rip-off book on why only fools and children believe in ghosts. Well this guy, Dick Tater, finds out that Seymour is living without his real parents and he starts a big investigation. He also doesn't believe in Halloween or ghosts and thinks all books about ghost stories should be banned. Will Seymour and Olive and Iggy get to stay together??? A great little book in a great little series, written in letters and newspaper columns and ads. Great fun!

The Nursing Home on Cemetery Lane

True Story.

I had friends who opened up a nursing home on Cemetery Lane.  They figured that might hurt their business so they changed the actual address of the place to Windsor Way.  But still, it was Windsor Way, off of Cemetery Lane.

What fun. 
43 Cemetery Lane is the address of a series of books by Kate Klise, and illustrated by her sister Sarah Klise, who are the geniuses behind Grounded and a bunch of other books.  Dying to Meet You is the first in the series and the only one I have read so far.  I really, really enjoyed it so much!
I can't wait to read the next one!  Hooray!
