Hard...and easy to really dislike

Retta's reading of this book. She is an incredible talent. But this man,
Matt Boren, has filled a story with many stereotypes and it just made me feel strange that a white man was writing in this voice. And then I felt do I have a right, as a privileged white woman to feel angry about Boren? I just don't know...so I couldn't give this book any kind of rating at all. But without a doubt, Retta is remarkable in all that she does.
