Everything Comes Around

"People" say life is like a circle and everything comes around but I heard a woman, with great optimism say that she likes to think of a life a spiral, and yes, everything comes around, but with each turn, we go up and up, things get better and better.

Well I thought that was lovely.  I don't know how much faith I have in humankind, but I do believe that we draw closer to the day we will be with God with every moment and turn and so, yes, I do believe we go around and around, but we keep going up!

The Voiceless was a great short story by one of my most favorite authors in the whole world.  And it will make you think!

Good stuff.  Thank you again, Ms. Kellerman.  

Admitttedly

I was disappointed when I got a copy of Faye Kellerman's Killing Season and discovered it wasn't a Peter and Rina book.  However, once I started to listen to KS, I wasn't disappointed anymore!  And I am wondering with a sense of hopefulness that this might be the start of a new series?  But I am still hoping for more from Peter and Rina!  This is good for fans of Kellerman and also good for teens.

How do I love thee?  The Bone Box was another excellent and much anticipated edition to Peter and Rina on the East Coast!  Oh, Faye Kellerman, thank you for sharing your talent with the world!  How I just wish you could write them faster!

Peter and Rina: more east coast crime!

When I read Murder 101, if you remember, I was SO glad that Peter and Rina didn't stop crime busting when they moved to the east coast.  And I was super excited to see that there was another book, The Theory of Death that had already been published!  While said, "WHOA!  How did I miss this?!?"  It was kinda cool that I didn't have to wait for it to be published!  I was able to buy and download it right away on audible because I knew I would love it.
And I did.

Peter and Rina! On the East Coast!

So after I finished the last Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus novel by the amazing Faye Kellerman, I wrote to Ms. Kellerman with much worry, that the end of the road had come for PD/RL books.  And she assured me no!  Again, I was so excited that she would take the time to write back to me and then super excited to learn that there were going to be more books!  And this month Murder 101 came out!  I preordered it from audible and jumped right in, very excited to hear that Richard Ferrone was the narrator!  I wrote Ms. Kellerman before I was even done with the book to tell her how much I was enjoying it, and she wrote back again!
I love this new turn that Rina and Peter's life has taken.  I love the setting, the promise that the kids will be still involved and maybe even more so, since they will be close.  I loved, loved, loved all of it.  The only bad thing...gotta wait another year for the next one! But man, these books are worth the wait!

No! No! No!

Is this end of Peter and Rina??  Not as a couple.  But as a series?  The end?  I am not sure!  I wrote Faye Kellerman.  This is the second time I've written her, once to tell her how much I loved Prism, which she wrote with her daughter, Aliza.  She wrote me back!  And it just blew my mind.  To take the time to write back!  So totally cool!  I hope she writes me back this time, too.  Because The Beast left me with a ton of worries!
It also left me, as all of her books do, wishing that she wrote faster!  I love Peter and Rina.  I have learned so much about the Jewish faith from them.  The mysteries are perfect.  Every one keeps me turning the pages quickly, but then feeling very sad when I am done!  Great, great addition to the series, which I hope isn't over!!  And Gabe is in this one!  I love Gabe!

I don't know if I have included this song on my blog before, I just can't seem to find much luck when I "search this blog" sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So sorry if I repeat.

I don't understand the negative reviews for this latest Rina Lazurus/Peter Decker novel. The suspense was so greatly built that I couldn't listen to it in order. By the eighth of ten disks, I had to put the tenth disk in and listen to that, then work backward.
The story surrounds a couple of suicides at a very posh prep school, investigated by Decker. Gabe is a prominent figure, as he falls in love with a young Persian girl and their sweet teen romance is so cute. I know that made some fans angry, that a lot of the time was spent in teen characters, but the books is so well done and well written, it is just awesome. Another excellent book by Faye Kellerman.
