What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

First I Tried
Just Grace and then I saw a copy of the book and thought maybe the reason I wasn't really enthralled with it, is the fact that there are little cartoons and the illustrations of the book are probably a big part of the fun. So I read it. Well, sadly, I probably should have just listened to it. Because Just Grace isn't very good if you like the kind of books that I do. Grace is pretty mean, even though her parents and she consider her to be really empathetic and helpful and kind. I am not getting that from this first book. And I won't read anymore. I need to find another female friend for Keena and Dyamonde. Grace is too mean. She is more likely to be friends with Ivy, Bean and Junie B.
