What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Just turn your anger inside

anger turned inward is depression, of course!  And I have always turned my anger inward, thus, depression.  The Dance of Anger sounds like it is all about anger, but the subtitle is really what the book is about, which is, changing the patterns of intimate relationships.  I have seen this book many times and shelved it many times, but it wasn't until my very dear friend, Miss Christin encouraged me to read it that I did.  Once again, I felt much thankfulness for my dear friend!  This was an exceptional, yet really easy to understand for even someone like me.  I do want to read more by Harriet Lerner.  Good stuff here, for the day to day of realating to others and for those times when a relationship seems too overwhelming.
