What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

Another thin book

The Darkroom was ok. It is part of the same high interest-lower reading level series as The Doll, but I didn't find the story to be as good as The Doll. I don't really have much to say about it. It was pretty bad. Basically it about a girl who starts using her father police camera after his murder and discovers that the photos taken with the camera predict the future. It just didn't seem to cover as much ground as The Doll, but it's tough to do in this kind of high-low format, I know. It was just that The Doll did it well. Again, the subject matter is NOT for kids. It's dark stuff for sure.
