What's Going On Here?

There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.

No It's Not Love, But It's Not Bad

Killing the Blues is not love, but it's not bad. Which is a wonderful song, and of course, no one can say that Merle isn't awesome, but Emmylou has the best version, but I can't find it on youtube.
Killing is better than "not bad" even, but I there's no song, that I know of anyway, that is called "It's Not Love, but it's Better than Not Bad." I read it without stopping and didn't get bored once.
Jesse isn't quite Jesse in Killing. He acts just a little too above the law, even for him and then, in huge contrast, he acts a little too Sheriff Andy in other places.
Still I am so deeply thankful for Michael Brandman for keeping Jesse alive and I know it will just get better. Parker's shoes are pretty darn big to fill, so I am not going to complain too much, just look forward to my next visit to Paradise.
