to see my friend and I got to see my other friend, Holly, who is a student at Baylor. Beautiful school. It was tough saying good-bye to my friend. But I know I will see her again. And she is being cared for by her wonderful, youngest daughter. She is in good hands.
While I was gone, my father was released from Kane. This is not a good thing. He is not able to live at home any more. We just can't care for him. Today the visiting nurse called an ambulance and he is back at UPMC Mercy. So we are waiting to hear what will happen. I have already called the social worker and he promises someone will "get back to me." We just have to wait. All will be well.
What's Going On Here?
There are SO MANY wonderful book review blogs out there and I can't compete with them, that is for sure. So this is not a book review blog. This is just a way for me to organize what I have read so that I can be better at matching the right book to the right person. The blog title comes from the brilliant mind of the most talented woman who ever lived, Ms. Judy Garland. The full quote is, "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of someone else." That is what I hope to do here and in ever aspect of my life.
